App versus browser: what's the difference?

Data, permissions, and account security
The bolalion app requests permission to access your device's camera only if you use our ID-verification feature during account setup—we need to see your national ID card. We request permission to access your device contacts only if you choose to use a contact-based recovery method for password resets. We do not access your photos, call history, messages, or location (beyond geolocation for jurisdiction checks). All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Your username, email, password, and payment information are never logged in plaintext. When you log out or close the app, your session token is cleared from device memory. If you believe your account has been compromised, log in and change your password immediately, or contact our support team to freeze your account pending investigation.
